DAC Pack

DAC Pack in the news:

Assoiated Press, March 13, 2007

The students in the "DAC Pack" were fired up and brought all sorts of signs that took shots at the NCAA snub. The Dragons fed off the frenzied atmosphere for awhile, and raced to an early 11-point lead.

While the students were certainly upset over being left out of the NCAAs, it sure didn't douse their enthusiasm inside the cozy and steamy 2,700-seat Daskalakis Athletic Center. The DAC was rocking from the moment the fans were let in.

The purpose of the Basketball Club will be the following: 1. Increase student spirit on campus at basketball games. 2. Create a fun and exciting environment for all members and in turn, establish a home court advantage. 3. Provide a social opportunity to meet new people through interest in basketball. 4. Serve as ambassadors of Drexel Athletics and act with integrity and sportsmanship.

The DU Basketball Club is better known these days as the DAC Pack. The group has grown from 15 students attending basketball games in the same yellow shirt to almost 200 students following the men’s basketball team to Richmond to cheer the team on in the CAA Basketball Championships.
